We are seeking a NP licensed in good standing with the state of Nevada and who is open to utilizing a different treatment approach to disease. A significant plus is you will be working with one of the top alternative providers in the United States, Dr. Frank Shallenberger. We are looking for a happy and upbeat nurse practitioner with a positive attitude to be part of our team. The Nevada Center Integrative Nurse Practitioner will assess a patient’s health by obtaining a complete a history and implement a treatment plan with a whole body treatment approach.
Our nurse practitioner will face multiple patients, with differing needs and stages of health. Being organized and knowing how to prioritize is a must. You will be communicating directly with patients who may have a lot of questions. You will need to be a patient listener and good communicator.
Job Duties:
- Be an advocate for patients seeking to alternative medicine as part of their treatment plan.
- Complete a comprehensive history and physical and implement a treatment program.
- Maintain notes and medical records on paper/EMR system.
- Managing patients care needs according to clinical protocols.
- Communicating care plans that promote patients into making healthier lifestyle choices.
- Documenting therapy details in client’s charts.
- Various office duties to include but not limited to: verifying the correct forms are filled out and
complete, reviewing health history forms, and providing a patient experience. - Be able to address an emergency and act according to protocol.
Requirements:
- Masters of Science in Nursing.
- Certified as an Adult Nurse Practitioner or Family Nurse Practitioner.
- Current Nevada state license and ability to practice independently.
- Current DEA certificate.
- Current CDS License.
- IV Insertion Skills (Preferred).
- BLS Certification current.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and organization skills.
- Must be able to assume a flexible work schedule if needed.
- Malpractice insurance.
- Superior verbal communication skills
- The initiative, problem-solving ability, adaptability, flexibility, and track record of working
without direct supervision. - Excellent "bed-side" manner.
- Ability to collaborate with other professionals as necessary to provide the best patient care.
Working Conditions
During busy periods, it may require long periods of time in front of the computer. Must be able to chart accurately and in a timely fashion. May work around biohazards. Exposure to blood borne pathogens is possible. Exposure to chemicals and commercial items typically found in offices, medical clinics, and building repairs /maintenance.
Compensation includes the following:
- Competitive pay.
- Boosters complimentary during shift and all services/modalities offered at a discounted rate.
- Job Type: Part-time, 1099 Contractor.
- Compensation: $90.00 - $120.00/hour.
